Rep. Susie Lee has been a strong advocate for lowering the cost of prescription drugs. She played a key role in passing landmark legislation that caps insulin costs at $35 per month for seniors and has continued to fight for Nevada families by supporting legislation to extend this $35 cap on monthly out-of-pocket expenses for insulin to all families.
As a mother in Las Vegas with a daughter who has Type 1 diabetes, I have experienced firsthand the struggles families face to afford life-saving insulin. For years, we spent up to $10,000 annually just to keep her healthy. That’s why I’m grateful to Rep. Susie Lee for her unwavering commitment to lowering insulin costs for Nevada families.
Rep. Lee’s work isn’t just a policy victory; it’s a lifeline for parents who constantly worry about affording the next insulin refill. Thanks to her efforts, we’re closer to a reality where life-saving medication is accessible to everyone who needs it.
