Every year in the United States, more than 500,000 Hispanic young women say “yes” to the dress, the quinceañera dress, that is.

Picking a gown for this traditional coming-of-age celebration is as personal and important as picking a wedding gown, and often just as expensive. The dresses are typically full-length ball gowns, like something a princess wears in a fairytale.

In Las Vegas, there are more than a dozen shops carrying these fancy schmancy dresses. Some also carry prom dresses, tuxedos and wedding gowns, while others stick strictly to quinceañeras. In most cases, the birthday girl has the option to pick from a catalog or order a custom design.

With that in mind, here are 8 places to buy a quinceañera dress in Las Vegas.

Eleganza Bridal
1000 E. Charleston Boulevard, #105

Founded by Lupita Eleganza in 1992, Eleganza Bridal is a family-owned boutique with a wide variety of unique quinceañera dresses in all sizes and price ranges. Select a dress in-store with the help of the friendly staff or pick from an extensive online catalog with 30 pages of choices. Not sure where to start? Eleganza’s website features tools like a quiz that helps the birthday girl find the right style. And if the dress isn’t available in the store, it can be rush-ordered in time for the big day.

Believe Boutique
4161 S. Eastern Avenue, #E1-2

Known for an emphasis on customer service, Latina-owned Believe Boutique has been helping quince queens choose a special dress for their special celebration since 2016. The intimate, dog-friendly shop carries an assortment of quality dresses and accessories for the birthday girl, as well as her proud mother. If you can’t find the right dress in-store, the staff will take your measurements and custom order it. While prices here are generally affordable, payment plans are an option.

Lucy Franco
1431 E. Charleston Boulevard

Established in 2014 by the Parra Franco family, Lucy Franco is currently one of the largest quinceañera boutiques in Las Vegas with more than 2,500 dresses in the collection. A popular chain with locations in Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Houston, and Monterrey, the store has a staff that’s professional and helpful with a goal to provide Hispanic communities with everything they need for a successful event, including a flexible payment plan. One reviewer on Google noted that the staff made the shopping experience fun, writing: “Quinceñera [is] a huge special day for Hispanic families and dress shopping could be so stressful! The ladies here helped us look for a perfect color … also let us try on the dresses we were intrigued with.”

Dreams XV Boutique
3680 S. Maryland Parkway, #140

Located inside the Boulevard Mall, Dreams XV Boutique is the brainchild of high-end fashion designer Enrique Montes and CEO Bernardo Hernández. The dress store carries a large collection of Montes’ gorgeous designs and accessories, sure to make anyone feel like a princess (even if you’re just window shopping). Have something specific in mind? No problem. Montes, known as the “King of Fashion”, is sure to design the dress of your dreams.

Fashion XV Boutique
1829 East Charleston Boulevard

Sought-after quinceañera dress designer Juan Pacheco owns Fashion XV Boutique. He is described by one reviewer on Google as kind and attentive, with a great eye for fashion. His formal wear store carries all the best brands of quince dresses and accessories, and will also custom-make your dream dress. Appointments are recommended.

Miss 15
2202 E. Charleston Boulevard

The name says it all! Miss 15 is a dress shop that’s uniquely suited to young women who are about to celebrate the rite of passage of a quinceañera. The friendly and professional boutique has a variety of dresses to choose from, as well as the latest accessories and shoes. A reviewer on Google wrote that Miss 15 made her daughter’s quinceañera “a perfect day to remember with all the details right on point, affordable prices and excellent customer service” while another commented on the “great prices.”

Casa de Calderón
1729 E. Charleston Boulevard

Family-owned and operated since 1995, Casa de Calderon sells stunning, custom-made quinceañera gowns. One Yelp reviewer who has ordered custom designs here said the shop “always brings my vision to life” while another commented on the attention to detail. Prices are said to be reasonable.

Online resellers
Facebook and OfferUp

Any way you slice it, a quinceañera is expensive! According to the website Latina Moms, the average party costs $20,000. If you’re looking for a way to cut down on the price tag or simply want to wear a recycled style, you are likely to find a beautiful dress, pre-owned by someone in your area, on Facebook Marketplace and OfferUp. You can even filter the dresses by price and condition. Considering most of these dresses were only worn once (if at all), it’s the deal (and steal) of a lifetime.
