Coming from Central American backgrounds, Jasmine and Patrick Vides love to gather with families and children. But as the parents of young kids, they noticed there wasn’t a place in Las Vegas where everyone could have fun together, regardless of age.

So despite both working in the medical field, they decided to open a place of their own. The couple will celebrate the opening of their family concept, VIP Kids Indoor Play and More, on November 17.

While other playgrounds in town only cater to children, the 3,500-square-foot facility will include an indoor playground for kids, video and board games for teens, and karaoke for adults.

“This is how I entertain at my home and I bring that concept to the public,” said Jasmine, 31. “I wanted it to feel like you just walked into a giant modern living room and feel you are at home without the worry of losing a child. You can see your child from our party rooms because they have glass windows and doors.”

The play center will host weekly storytime in Spanish and English, monthly themed arts and crafts nights, dress-up costume events and cultural celebrations. It can also be used as a private party venue for up to 109 guests, offering options like custom decor, pinata and centerpieces, a DJ, costume characters, a face painter, balloon twisting and a photo booth–whatever the guest requests.

“We handle everything and you can bring your own food,” said Jasmine.

The VIP in their business name applies to everyone who comes through the doors. Jasmine explained that she always treats her patients like VIPs and has high expectations and standards for how the business will be run.

“Customer service is a big thing for me,” she said. “It’s important to give great customer service and make sure our guests are satisfied. I wanted people to get a VIP experience here … to say, ‘Wow, that was amazing, I felt like a VIP here!’

Jasmine and Patrick, 32, will continue to work in the medical field part-time, alternating their days off to be present at the business.

“My goal is to be successful so that our business can grow to more locations and bring joy and unite families all over town,” said Jasmine, “a place where they can all have fun together, distress and build lasting memories.”

Eventually, she hopes to be able to give back to community organizations around town.

“I hope to give out scholarships to students because I know the joy that brought us when we were in school and being in their shoes,” she said. “We need to make our community better however we can to keep our generations motivated to be successful and educated.”

VIP Kids Indoor Play and More, 4450 N. Tenaya Way, Suite 235, will be open Mondays through Saturdays, starting Nov. 17. To RSVP for the grand opening, call (725) 910-1684.
